Providing a seamless office experience for customers and employees

Background

Having worked with ServiceNow on the expansion of its office in Staines in 2019, we were delighted to be part of the team and provide furniture consultancy for its new flagship EMEA Customer Briefing Centre in London.

The project

There were two main areas to the space - a client briefing area that needed to provide a seamless and intuitive journey for visiting clients and an area for employees with hot-desking, collaboration spaces and focus areas. To give the employees a feel of familiarity, we were asked to match the look and feel that we had achieved alongside interior designers Maris, on the Staines project.

Our team went to work to analyse the needs of people when using each part of the space to make sure that no details were overlooked. Each bit of furniture was chosen and adapted to be perfectly suited in functionality and practicality, while the dimensions, finishes, colours and textures were chosen to be part of the beautiful design.

Collaboration with the IT team ensured that power, cabling and IT requirements were planned in to allow for seamless design and intuitive usage.

Within the client briefing area, we co-designed a suite of bespoke tables, some with flip-tops to allow for the spaces to be hackable to cater for different uses.

Two weeks away from installation, the country went into COVID-19 lockdown. As all manufacturing halted for several months, we made sure the client was updated with the latest developments in our supplier delivery times through dashboards and weekly online meetings. As soon as was possible, we received and stored furniture from suppliers in our warehouse to allow us to plan phased installs complying with COVID-19 protocols.

The finished office is now a wonderful place to work as well as a fantastic space to bring clients to and is a testament to the hard work of the whole project team.

We wanted the project team to be knowledge experts in their field and to push us on concepts and ideas – Coming up with solutions and not just problems – which IE did. The team were really in tune with what type of experience we wanted to create for our employees and clients, providing them with a seamless and intuitive furniture solutions.
When COVID-19 impacted everything, the team pivoted well to ensure we were updated all the way and that everyone’s safety was a priority. I was pleased that we decided to partner with IE throughout this project.
