Our workplace design team are at the heart of how we turn insights and ideas into workplaces that inspire people, collaborating with clients, A&D firms and key stakeholders to create smarter, healthier and more sustainable workplaces.
Our designers provide creative input across our range of furniture services as well as stand-alone design services to help you define the needs, requirements and opportunities to create your perfect office.
Gathering information on your existing workplace, the aspirations of your company, culture and colleagues helps to inform your workplace brief and design.
Kick-off starts with working closely with leadership teams & understanding the needs of the organisation through workshops and interviews.
Where possible, we supplement these discussions with data and opinions gathered from workshops, pop-up feedback pods, online surveys and occupancy sensors.
Our creative designs will reflect your operational and aesthetic needs, your brand, culture and the latest workplace insights. From initial feasibility assessments and developing concept designs to detailed schematics and construction drawings, we’ll work closely with your entire project team to create your perfect space.
We can make sure that your workspaces are designed for diversity, rather than for a single ‘average’ user. This involves creating spaces that are flexible and adaptable, so that they can be easily modified to meet the diverse needs of users.
Inclusive design is about more than just making people feel comfortable within the workplace though. It can help workers to feel valued and foster a sense of belonging within your organisation, positively impacts wellbeing as well as increasing creativity and innovation.
Prototype and concept spaces are the best way to test the functionality of a solution. That’s why our clients find it invaluable to test, gather feedback and use the learnings before rolling out changes on a larger scale.
We use a range of techniques to help visualise, display and present your designs and options including:
Graphics can enhance an interior design by communicating information, reflecting the culture, brand and identity of an organisation and helping to shape our overall perception of a space.
Experiential graphic design employs wayfinding and environmental graphics to send a larger message about that place, communicate a value proposition that appeals to users, and creates positive experiences that can be associated with the company.
Long-standing client Allianz asked us to redesign an underutilised 5,650 sq ft space into a multi-purpose area for broker meetings and hospitality events.
Our investigations into the user needs and usage patterns for the space identified that it could support a broader range of activities and teams, so we suggested dividing the space into three zones that could be reconfigured to support a range of activities:
The Social Club zone hosts events and includes lounge settings that convert to a conference layout reutilising furniture from other zones.
The Fast & Furious zone supports underwriters’ broker meetings while the entire space can be easily cleared for larger functions.
The Recharge & Reconnect zone offers a range of work settings for different work modes and social collaboration with subdued material aesthetics and enhanced sound masking for a calmer, rejuvenating space.
The client wanted to create a landing pad for new starters and a work experience that creates a sense of belonging with the company, helping to onboard and retain talent.
The “hidden heroes” concept was born and has transformed what appears to be a regular industrial estate into a unique destination that celebrates each new arrival. The space supports a variety of different work modes as well as providing training, socialising and rejuvenation spaces.
The ‘Heroes’ journey is enhanced by the use of colour and material palettes ranging from stimulating and vibrant for energising, collaborative spaces to calmer, natural materials in focus and rejuvenation spaces.
Feature lighting combining acoustic/sound reduction materials, along with height adjustable desking and quality ergonomic task chairs supported inclusivity and wellbeing giving greater control of comfort for users.
