Steelcase has announced the opening of its newest Learning + Innovation Center (LINC), capping a multi-year effort to bring together employees and propel global growth. The new LINC is the latest extension of the company’s global network, part of a geographically distributed approach to innovation.
As organisations recognise the importance of face-to-face interactions and shift back to centrally-located business hubs, Steelcase designed this 14,400 square meter space to promote learning and spark innovation within its own organization—and to give customers a first-hand look at how space can impact work.
Steelcase and Microsoft introduce Creative Spaces — a range of places and technologies to enable the creative process. Joint research released by the two companies reveals the pressure people feel about the shift toward more creative work.
Insightful Environments became one of the first organisations to have a look around the new Steelcase Learning and Innovation Centre (LINC) in Munich last week. The new centre, being built right in the centre of Munich doesn't open until next summer, but IE was given a preview tour of the impressive campus.
According to Steelcase, the finished LINC will be designed to enhance the way it collaborates, learns and leads. In this manner they will be able to expedite innovation, increase performance and provide a great experience that will inspire influencers and customers.
Following on from the Steelcase global report on engagement and the workplace, which was the first to explore the relationship between employee engagement and the work environment, comes this great new guide that offers specific actions and solutions to create a workplace that helps boost employee engagement.
After studying 12,480 office workers in 17 countries for two years, we uncovered a correlation between employee attitudes about their workplace and their engagement levels. The Steelcase Global Report is the first ever study that links employee engagement with workplace satisfaction and provides quantitative data that supports the role the workplace can play in addressing this key bottom-line issue.
